The expanding use of Renewable Energy Sources (RES) has been set as a political goal both in Poland and Germany. Both countries are planning to increase their share of Renewable Energy remarkably. Moreover, RES have grown to be a highly innovative industry branch, producing an ongoing, market-focused need for research and development.

By a “Cluster-Dialogue Germany-Poland” Polish and German cluster-organizations and industry-networks are going to identify common R&D-potential in the field of Renewable Energy Sources and energy efficiency. The project has been introduced by a network meeting at the POLEKO on the 28th of October 2008.

The Cluster-Dialogue is designed to be kind of a Central-European workshop for drafting concrete R&D-projects among Polish and German cluster-organizations and industry-networks. A first cluster symposium in Germany (by the end of February 2009) shall activate special working groups among the participants to think about concrete R&D-projects, which will be presented at a last symposium in Poland (July 2009). The results of the project will be published and may perhaps initiate an ongoing culture of cooperation between Polish and German RES-networks.

The Cluster-Dialogue is part of the initiative “Research in Germany – land of ideas” and is organized by Competence Network Distributed Energy Technologies, deENet e.V., and the Competence Center Hessen for Cooperation in Research and Technology Transfer with Central and Eastern Europe (OWWZ).

This website is created to be a virtual forum for both Polish and German networks to share their profiles and project ideas. Feel free to join our dialogue in the field of Clustermanagement, Renewable Energy Technologies or Energy Efficiency. You are also invited to use this platform as a tool to prepare concrete project plans more in detail. In this case, we will create a special link for you to work with your partners. We are looking forward to your input!
